Radio 1 plays music such as Tyga and bruno mars as they are popular pop musicians that is often played in festivals.

BBC radio 1 is a breakfast show that often airs in the mornings on the radio. The Radio One Breakfast Show is currently the most listened to ‘show’ on Radio One and forms part of Radio One’s overall public service broadcasting.
However, radio 1 target audience is on decline for many reasons, technology being one of them. This is because streaming services such as 'I-player' and even 'Netflix' have become more so popular amongst a wider audience range as not everyone has the time now a days to always listen to the radio live as much as people used to, so streaming services are just more convenient for some of there audience.

Th show presented by Nick Grimshaw, has recorded its lowest audience figures losing over 600,000 listeners in the first quarter of 2018.
